A Few Standards:

What do I want out of my lip mask? First and foremost, it must be vegan and cruelty free. I will try any formulation and packaging however, I do prefer a tube over a jar, and I do prefer thicker consistencies when it comes to masks/treatments. I want the lip mask to hydrate, moisturize, and improve my lips/lip texture. If it comes off sooner rather than later, that’s a dealbreaker- I want longevity out of my lip mask. I am ok with scents and don’t mind them. Lastly, I want it to work; I want the product to do what it claims since that’s why I’m buying it. Bonus points if the lip mask is organic, ethically made, and environmentally friendly.

-The packaging makes it hard to squeeze every ounce of product as you approach the end

Let’s start out with the cons this time because the majority are with the packaging. First things first though, the price. Depending on your budget and needs, how much you like to spend for the amount of product you get here, you may deem this pricy. Now, because this product works, and I love the brand, I do always justify this purchase. Currently, Bite Beauty is hosting a 50% off sale as they are closing their doors. If you are on the fence about this product, I’d recommend you scoop it up because it does WORK and do what it claims. Read more below. The other cons are really just packaging. If you use this product fairly regularly (like me), the print on the packaging will start to wear off, it will get on your fingers and hands, and let’s be honest, that is annoying (at least to me), so I put it under the con section. Also, when you approach the end of the product, no matter how well I try to roll up the tube or try to squeeze product out, it’s difficult because the packaging isn’t made to do that as easily given the product is thick in nature. I think a glass jar would have worked better for this product, in all honesty (even though I do prefer tubes). So ,near the end, you do “waste” a bit of product because you can only get so much out.

Now the best part: the pros. The reason I love this so much despite the packaging, is because bottom line, it WORKS. It helps my chapped, cracked lips, and what else can a girl ask for? For context, I’ve lived in Canada and most recently, I’ve lived in Colorado. There is some cold, harsh, DRY weather, and if this product can work for me in those types of situations, I’m hoping no matter where YOU are, that it can work for you too. This product is vegan, has great ingredients, is travel friendly, and for me, I find the scent to be really lovely: it’s a light vanilla scent. When it comes to the texture, I LOVE ME some THICKNESS. The thicker the better, in my opinion. I love to glob it on (though a little does go a long way) and apply it during my nighttime routine and let it do its thing. This product is durable as I’ve dropped it and traveled with it, and it’s never let me down in terms of spillage or spoiling, etc. Lastly, let’s touch on the fact that this product is multi-purpose. You can apply it on your lips, elbows, knees if you wish, anywhere you have some dry patches. I have applied a little bit under my eyes, and it didn’t break me out (which was nice), but to be honest, I didn’t like the “sticky, thick” feeling under my eyes, so I ditched that really quick. However, you can use this wherever you’d like, given the amount is fully in your control. All in all, I think this product is a staple for me and I will be stocking up.
