A Few Standards:

What do I want out of my lip mask? First and foremost, it must be vegan and cruelty free. I will try any formulation and packaging however, I do prefer a tube over a jar, and I do prefer thicker consistencies when it comes to masks/treatments. I want the lip mask to hydrate, moisturize, and improve my lips/lip texture. If it comes off sooner rather than later, that’s a dealbreaker- I want longevity out of my lip mask. I am ok with scents and don’t mind them. Lastly, I want it to work; I want the product to do what it claims since that’s why I’m buying it. Bonus points if the lip mask is organic, ethically made, and environmentally friendly.

So, to me, for the amount you get, this is a bit pricy, BUT, since a little goes a long way, since it does work, and it actually helps my lips, to me the cost is worth it. This is an item I will purchase time and time again, especially in the wintertime.

The Agave+ Nighttime Lip Therapy is a moisturizing balm-to-oil lip therapy formulated with agave nectar, jojoba oil, and pomegranate extract. It also has ZERO mineral oil, which I think is pretty sweet. The formulation is one of my favourites because it’s thick without being super greasy and uncomfortable, and although the finish is heavier than most lip balms, it does ensure long-lasting wear that makes the lips super soft and conditioned in the morning. I normally prefer (as mentioned in my standards section) a thicker consistency when it comes to a lip mask and I do want longevity, which this provides. I normally apply this lip mask at night-time, and I love what it does for my lips. A few times a week I do exfoliate my lips as well with the Bite Beauty Scrub and that also ensures my lips remain healthy (you don’t have to buy the Bite Beauty Scrub – you can use any scrub you like). I don’t find this lip mask to have an overbearing scent, I think there’s a slight scent of agave and vanilla, I’d say, though I’m not the greatest at describing scents. It’s very minimal though, so don’t think you’re going to smell like fruit once you put this on. In the end, this lip mask does what it claims to do. It helps heal my dry, cracked, chapped lips and again, a little does go a long way. I do prefer a tube, but I don’t mind this being in a jar because I use a little spatula to get the product out (I hate getting product under my nails which is normally why I prefer tubes). Either way, in conclusion, if you want to heal and nourish your lips, I’d recommend you give this product a go.
