A Few Standards:

What do I want out of my lip scrub? First and foremost, it must be vegan and cruelty free. I prefer lip scrubs that are in a tube, but I will try any kind of packaging like a jar, tub, etc. I also prefer the scrub to have tons and tons of granules and I do love a scent in my lip scrub, however, again, I’ll try it all. I don’t want the lip scrub to be too hard in formulation so I can actually rub it in, and have it emulsified but I also don’t want it too soft where it crumbles on my lips and doesn’t actually get anything done. At the end of the day, I’ll try any formula and any packaging, it just needs to exfoliate my lips well, it’s as simple as that. Bonus points if it’s organic, ethically made, and environmentally friendly.

PROS:

✔Vegan & Great Ingredients ✔Cute Packaging ✔Durable ✔Travel Friendly

✔Nice Scent ✔Exfoliates My Lips Well CONS: -Pricy

Let’s start with the con this time. The price. Personally, I love this product so I will buy it, but in my opinion, for $24 (not including tax), you only get 0.7 oz. I’m sorry, but I want more product. I would go through this stuff WAY too often, so it got pricy, fast. So do with that what you will, but it’s worth noting.

Now, the scrub itself is one of my all-time favourites. There’s a reason it has won so many awards including Allure Best of Beauty and there’s a reason I always recommend this one and go back to it. Simply put, it works. This lip scrub exfoliates my lips and makes them feel really nice after the fact. And let’s not forget, the yummy, delicious scent! Now if you don’t like scented items, you might want to skip this. I don’t find the scent nauseating or overpowering- I really, really enjoy the scent and feel it’s the right balance of notes. To me, it smells like a light coconut with vanilla (heavier on the vanilla scent). The product feels creamy, and gooey when you put it on your lips and as you scrub your lips the granules gently do their thing. If I rub a bit harder and put a bit more on, I can make the experience a bit more abrasive if that’s what I’m feeling that day. So, in summation, this product smells good, tastes good, does what it’s supposed to, it comes in a little jar so it’s easy to use, it’s durable and travel friendly, and the ingredients are amazing. I highly recommend this if it’s in your budget. As a suggestion, do what I do, and buy this a couple times a year as you treat yourself and/or have a special occasion coming up.
