A Few Standards:
What do I want out of my lipstick? First and foremost, it must be vegan and cruelty free. I will try any lipstick in any form and any formulation; this means I can do stick form, tube, crayon, stain, balm, satin, sheer, matte, glossy, etc. I always prefer matte liquid lipsticks, but like I just mentioned, I will try them all. My lippie of choice must look good with or without a lipliner, it must be long-lasting, not bleed or smear, touch up well and not smell full of chemicals. Lastly, it must be opaque, which is just a fancy word for saying the product has good colour payoff. Bonus points if it’s organic, ethically made, and environmentally friendly.

So, let’s begin with the shade options. Personally, I love the options they included in this kit, and I feel the colours would be flattering on most people who try them. They’re super easy to use, so if you’re a beginner, no sweat there. They’re also travel friendly which is awesome and very portable so you can take them purse to purse. In terms of the packaging, it’s sleek and lightweight.
Now, the product themselves. I think the formulation and product is great. Please note it’s not fully matte and it does transfer (when you eat, kiss, etc.), so if you’re looking for something super matte and budge proof- this isn’t it. The colours are very creamy and moisturizing and are very opaque. You can build up the colour without feeling sticky and the shades wear very comfortably. All in all, I think this mini kit is the perfect way to try a few shades and try this formulation and see if you like them. If you do, you can commit to buying the full-sized crayon online (they also have a good colour selection, so you’re bound to find something). All in all, I’d say this is worth a try!
