A Few Standards:
What do I want out of my lipstick? First and foremost, it must be vegan and cruelty free. I will try any lipstick in any form and any formulation; this means I can do stick form, tube, crayon, stain, balm, satin, sheer, matte, glossy, etc. I always prefer matte liquid lipsticks, and I love gloss, but like I mentioned, I will try them all. My lippie of choice must look good with or without a lipliner, it must be long-lasting, not bleed or smear, touch up well and not smell full of chemicals. Lastly, it must be opaque, which is just a fancy word for saying the product has good colour payoff. Bonus points if it’s organic, ethically made, and environmentally friendly.

Let’s begin with stating the obvious. If you DON’T LIKE PINK, pass on this. If you don’t like a creamy, matte formula, ALSO pass on this.
As I’ve mentioned before, Bite Beauty Lip Products are normally a hit or miss for me, so I’m happy to report this is one huge HIT. Personally, I love lip kits. You get to try different shades, formulations, scents, and most of the time, they are mini size, so when you travel you can bring them along with you. They also normally come in a cool tin, or pouch, which you can reuse for pretty much anything. If you like it and it works out, you can then get the full-sized product and/or more shades. Win, win, in my opinion.
So, let’s begin, as there’s a TON of pros. Also, side bar, the pros (and cons), are never in any particular order, just FYI. Starting off with the fact that the lip crayons are vegan, cruelty free and gluten-free, which I find AWESOME. The lip crayons also have decent wear time and don’t smear. For me, I do enjoy the creamy matte formulation. If you’re having a day (like I do, many times), where you aren’t sure if you want a fully matte lip, or a satin, creamy lip, I think this is a perfect choice for an in between. You get comfortable wear with opaque colour that meets the nice in between of a matte and a cream. It works well with or without a lipliner, and I do feel it’s beginner friendly. Since the tip is sharp and the formulation is both hard and creamy (making it pretty easy to use), I find anyone can use this product pretty much mess and hassle free. It doesn’t dry out my lips, it stays on for a decent amount of time, and I do find the product itself durable. I’ve never had issues with the crayon breaking off or with the packaging itself in terms of travel or dropping it. As a quick mention here again, these products are very travel friendly since they are light in weight and small in size. I find the colours to be really pretty, and I think they would be flattering on most; if you aren’t into pink shades though (or this type of formulation), then pass on buying this kit. I feel the packaging is really cute and I do love at the end of it I can reuse the tin for any type of storage really. Now, the price. The price can be considered pricy for some I’m sure, but for me, given the amount of crayons you get, the fact that it is a lip kit, and I can try several shades and this formulation, for me it fit. If this is not in your budget, I’d wait for a sale to try this out because the products themselves are good. If this is in your budget, again, I’d recommend trying this kit because I think the lippies are super cute!
Now, the cons. Really, pricing aside, which I do think is person to person centered, which is why this time, I didn’t put it under the cons, the only thing I could think of (assuming you like this type of formula and assuming you like pink, because again, why else would you buy this), I would say the only potential con is maybe you already have some of these shades. You could have these shades either because you have a lot of Bite Beauty lip products (like me), or you could have something very similar if you LOVE lip crayons, because let’s be honest, who doesn’t. So ideally, make sure you like the shades and formula before committing to this and check your collection to make sure you don’t already have these shades -or shades very similar. If not, buy with gusto. If so, maybe reconsider.
