A Few Standards:
What do I want from my vitamins? First, and most importantly, they must be vegan, cruelty-free, and huge bonus points if the company makes efforts towards recycling and the packaging, if it’s organic, and if it’s travel friendly. I don’t want a ton of crap in my vitamins so it’s important the ingredients are nice and clean. Lastly, the vitamins must do what they claim. If I’m getting a digestive enzyme, it must help me digest my food, if I’m getting a vitamin that’s supposed to clear my skin, I should see results, etc.

First things first. Let’s talk about how I was initially introduced to this product. The brand, Humann, reached out to me on Instagram to inquire if I’d be interested in trying out a product. Of course, after finding they have vegan products, I said I’d love to. The brand sent me TWO free items: the beet powder and the memory and focus chew. They never asked anything of me, and it was my first experience receiving anything free (and since, without any obligations). The brand team members have always been kind, encouraging, and helpful. So, this brand holds a special place in my heart. The product I am about to review, I would 100 percent recommend because it WORKS, tastes GREAT and the brand as a whole is AWESOME. Since I did receive the product for free, I could very easily say it sucks (but it doesn’t). So if you do decide to try this product, know this: like me, you’ll be hooked.
First let’s discuss the taste. Initially, it tastes like very sweet candy (but not that fake sweet stuff, if that makes sense). It actually tastes good. Then after a few seconds the flavour profile is very apparent and you get a hit of blueberry and pomegranate. The taste is really, really enjoyable. The texture is soft and chewy. It’s not hard, you won’t break a tooth, and you also don’t have to chew it for 1000 hours like Monica did on Friends when she was tasting “Mocklate.” If you know, you know. Great taste, awesome texture that goes down well, and it’s also my favourite colour: red. Win, win so far. You get 30 chews per package, and you should take ONE chew daily. The vitamins are vegan, non-gmo, gluten-free and pretty clean and simple. There’s also no synthetic colours, artificial sweeteners, or preservatives. I find these vitamin chews to also be travel friendly, easy to order and stock up on, and another benefit, they’re research, and evidence focused. I found an improvement in my focus and memory when I took these, and I felt to be more alert. I am for sure going to keep taking these, and buying more, because when something is easy to take, and tastes great, AND you see results (or even a small improvement), why not keep going? Right? Right. Now, huge disclaimer, PLEASE before starting any new health or wellness product that you drink, or eat, consult with your family doctor, or trusted medical professional. As always, try at your own risk. If you have ANY negative reactions, stop use immediately- that much I do know. Truly, these vitamins are great. I’m excited to try more products from the brand and will report back, as per usual. If you’re on a hunt for some new vitamins, or if you’re looking specifically to improve your brain health and focus, I highly, highly recommend these.
Now, let’s end with a potential con. I know everyone’s financial situation differs, and I know what might be important to me, might not for you, so everyone operates with a different set of priorities and budget in mind. Now, these vitamins are a bit pricy, yes, but for me, considering they’re vegan, cruelty free, and have all the other benefits mentioned in the above, and the fact that they do work, I would re-buy them. Vitamins (well, wellness products in general, let’s be honest), normally do come with a higher price tag, especially the cleaner they are, the better manufacturing processes they have, etc., so at the end of the day, if you think you want to splurge on vitamins, in my opinion, these would be it. Without being too preachy, I am currently investing in myself and in my health, so the vitamins and wellness powders, shakes, etc., that I will be reviewing, do float around these types of prices.
