Medium Blending Eyeshadow Brush What It Is ND’s brand-new medium blender brush featuring an innovative synthetic fiber that delivers an extreme feather-soft feel - resembling the softness feel of squirrel hair. Designed for all eye shapes and sizes, it comes in the perfect on-the-go size to blend any matte or metallic eyeshadow at any time. A Few Standards:
What do I want from my eyeshadow palette? First, and most importantly, my eyeshadow palette must be vegan, cruelty-free, and huge bonus points if the company makes efforts towards the recycling of the item, if it’s ethically made, if it’s organic, and if the packaging is well thought of. To me, there’s nothing more lack-luster than a meh eyeshadow palette. As with every item, I try my best to hold it to the highest standard.
I look for quality, it must always perform well and last throughout the day. The colours must be versatile so I can create multiple looks, regardless of the palette being only matte or only glitter. I personally prefer matte eyeshadow palettes however, I try tons; duo-chrome, glitter, etc. In terms of colour scheme, I like warm tones most and I love trying bright colour eyeshadows as well. The eyeshadow palette has to blend well, be user-friendly, and not have a ton of fallout (again, whether matte or glitter). Lastly, it must perform well with or without a primer.
When it comes to finger swatches, I find that they have very little to do with the actual performance of an eyeshadow, so if the shades swatch well but don’t apply well, or last long, the swatch game doesn’t matter much to me.
Eyeshadow palettes are a great beauty investment. There are tons of colour combinations, finishes and formulations. Whether you’re going for a smoky or natural look, a palette is a great way to have variety at your fingertips. They’re also normally a better bang for your buck, so keep that in mind next time you’re on a shopping trip.

Review:
* This product is vegan, cruelty free and free of parabens. *
My obsession with Natasha Denona continues, you guys. This is a limited-edition mini eyeshadow palette based on the large-sized best-selling Metropolis Palette and I just had to grab it since this one is, say it with me, VEGAN! WOOOO baby! I have been playing around with this palette for a while now and am super excited to finally share my thoughts. If you enjoyed this review, leave me a comment, like, and feel free to share!
My methods: I tried this palette for a few weeks and had it on from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., so it was put to the test. I tried it with and without a primer, with and without concealer, and I also applied it with my fingertips and with brushes. For the flashy shades, I prefer using my fingertips- it also makes fallout nonexistent.
Let’s get into the shade breakdown:
My Favourite Shades: Blaze (363K) and Jubilee (271)
Blaze (263K) is a very rich, molten copper with warm yellow/orange undertones- there’s also gold flecks and sparkle throughout that create an amazing intense shade. This metallic finish has amazing pigmentation- it’s very opaque even with one swipe. The texture is lightly dense and once you swirl your fingertip in, it gets very smooth and creamy. What I love about this shade is that it is stunning regardless of the fact if you put an eye primer or use it wet or dry. The colour payoff of this shade (in addition to my second favourite) is insane. This shade has very little fallout, especially when you pat the shade on your eye- I prefer my fingertips vs. a brush for this shade in particular. Putting this shade on makes your eyes go like whoaaaaa- super shiny and blinding (which is what I like). 10/10, truly.
Rope (256CM) is a light, yellowy orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It has opaque colour payoff that adhered evenly to my lid and diffused nicely. This shade blends very easily and is one of the best transition shades (if you like more yellow/peachy undertones for your transition, like me anyways). This shade holds up and doesn’t budge.
Jubilee (271M) is a very gorgeous, unique shade in my opinion. This shade is my other favourite- it’s just stunning guys! It’s a rich, deep emerald green with cooler undertones- it has flecks of gold, silver and even a little bit of gray, throughout. This shade is a very nice metallic sheen and has amazing opaque pigmentation in a single swipe. The colour payoff truly is amazing, there’s literally no fallout, you can get really nice intensity with a brush AND with your fingers (I prefer using my fingertips with this shade both for intensity and fallout purposes, but it held up with both fingertips and the brush). This green shade is very, very unique because it’s easy to apply, easy to blend, the intensity is like whoaaaa, and I’m willing to bet it makes any eye colour POP (I have brown eyes). I think if you’re afraid of colour, this is a great palette to test out because you have an out-there shade like this green, and a more “go to” shade like the gold (blaze 263K), so you can definitely play around and see if you could get into more “bold” and colourful looks.
Bole (405CM) is a medium-dark, olive brown, with muted, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. It has a rich colour payoff paired with a smooth, velvety texture. This shade looks great and swatches great, however, this shade in particular had some moments for me. So, let’s start with the good. The shade itself is gorgeous and what I love about it is you can tone it down if need, but mostly, you can really, really build it up. This shade is very pigmented so go easy. If you’d like to tone it down you can, however, I preferred toning it up (is that a thing, let’s make it a thing). So, this shade can get very intense if that’s the look you’re going for (yes, please). The only downfall (sorta-ish, depends on you personally), is that when I used an eye primer it didn’t blend as easy. Now don’t get me wrong, it does blend, just not as easy and not as fast. I definitely had to put my arm into it and be patient to get the same flawless result I normally got when I used concealer or went primer-free. So, something to keep in mind. Depending on your methods, this shade may or may not be as easy to work with when compared to the other shades in the palette.
Corrode (228CM) is a light-medium peach with warmer, more yellowish undertones and a matte finish. I consider this another easy shade, and another easy transition shade. It’s perfect for most looks I’d say whether you want matte or colour or glitter, etc. This one also blends easily and holds up just like the others.
The Brush: I will keep it simple. It blends the shades effortlessly, it’s vegan and cruelty free, it’s a pop of colour, it’s travel friendly, and it’s cute. What more can a girl ask for?
Let’s start off with the few cons and get that out of the way. This palette is very mini, so depending on your budget, you may or may not view it as a worthy purchase. In my personal opinion, for the reasons that will mentioned momentarily, I personally think it’s worth every penny.
Now, let’s get to the best part, the pros! This palette has gorgeous, creamy, luscious shades, I mean just looking at it makes me happy. There are nice matte shades that you can use for pretty much any look, and two pop of colour shades that are very, very pretty, and eye-catching. The palette is vegan, cruelty free and paraben free which is awesome! I find this palette to be very travel friendly since it is mini, so if you travel a lot, this would be a good one to take. The packaging is simple, yet classy, and the palette itself opens with ease. This palette also comes with a brush which does a very nice job at blending all the shades.
This palette is beginner friendly, so if you’re just starting out with makeup, you don’t have to feel intimidated. The colours all blend and apply beautifully and with minimal effort. There’s high colour payoff for all of the shades and there’s practically no fallout. If you think you might get fallout, just slow down your application process and when it comes to the glittery shades, aim to press down the product (with either a brush or your finger), versus just smearing it on your eyes—this will ensure you don’t get fallout.
This Natasha Denona palette works well with or without a primer. My personal favourite way to use this palette is to skip the eye primer and just dab a little bit of concealer pre-application. These shadows swatch well, apply well, and blend very, very well. Since the shades blend very, very nicely (can you tell I’m impressed?), if you get a little heavy handed, just blend for a few extra seconds. Anytime I wore these shadows, I found them to blend easily, last very long and most importantly, they were never patchy, streaky, nor did they break apart. I wore these shadows for 12-hours and I noticed after the 12-hour mark, the glittery shades in particular faded a bit, but this isn’t an issue to me since the shadows held up for 12 whole hours. So, if you wear this up to 12-hours, you won’t have issues. If you’re traveling and looking for a 24-hour plus look, it will still look great, it’ll just fade a bit. Please note, I have oily skin and oily eyelids, so it held up really well. The shadows look and feel great—there’s no visible scent worth noting. When you press into the matte shadows, they are firm and dense, but turn fluffy and creamy, and when it comes to the flashy shades, they are very creamy, velvety, whipped and fluffy. The quality and pigment are simply amazing. I do love the shade range, so look at the photos to see if the shades are something you’re in to and would like to use.
Final Thoughts:
As mentioned earlier, I think if you’re afraid of colour, this is a great palette to test out because you have a captivating shade like the green (jubilee 271M), and a more “go to” shade so to speak like the gold (blaze 263K), so you can definitely play around and see if you could get into more bold and colourful looks. I find this palette to be very easy to use, beginner friendly, amazing for travel, the brush is also great, and again, the quality is just top notch. Whenever I reach for this palette, it makes me extremely happy to know it’s a product that will stay on and make me feel, and look, fabulous. This palette also has very minimal fallout, if any to be honest, and for the flashy shades I definitely prefer to use my fingertips. The quality of the palette is there, the ease, and the cute factor. Though I don’t think I’ll have to rebuy this palette for quite some time, this is something I would re-purchase, and wholeheartedly, 100 percent recommend you try. I highly, highly recommend this Natasha Denona Mini Palette. Try it out, trust me you’ll love it.
