Public Goods Glass Cleaner

Price: $9.99 CAD

Size: 24 FL OZ

What do I look for in a Glass Cleaner? First, it needs to be vegan and cruelty free. Second, I need it to work. I don’t want there to be streaks and I want to ensure my glass is always cleaned properly. I don’t mind if the product is scented or unscented, but I prefer a scent, so I gravitate towards that. I prefer bigger bottles so I can get the most bang for my buck and I prefer a spray bottle with an easy-to-use nozzle. I like to spray multiple times and quick, then have the nozzle reset. To me, I don’t like spray bottles that have a hard to use nozzle. It needs to spray easy and clean properly. Anything else is a bonus.

Additional Info: Get a bright, streak-free shine on any glass surface, with our safe and natural, plant-based glass cleaner. LINA REVIEWS the Public Goods Glass Cleaner

Wow, this was bad. I mean, there are some good things which I’ll mention at the end, but I am not the type of person to focus on packaging over the quality of the product. Yes, packaging matters, but if the quality of the actual product isn’t there, it’s a pass for me. Both in this instance weren’t good.

I bought this when I was in Canada because it looked so sleek and aesthetic to me (never thought I’d say that about a cleaning product). However, it ended up being a bust. Let’s start with the most annoying part to me: the nozzle. The nozzle is very hard to work with. You click it down once, it sprays once, and you have to wait at least 10 seconds (if not more) to get another spray in and click it down (because it locks in the current position and slowly resets). The waiting of the nozzle to be able to spray it down is very annoying, then you spray again and wait some more. If you like to do your cleaning quickly, efficiently, and if you like multitasking, this product will probably drive you crazy. The amount of waiting to just actually spray the product is insane to me. So, you can’t do multiple sprays, you have to spray once at a time (with a significant wait in between).

Then the actual product: it streaks, and it didn’t clean my mirrors great and when it came to my windows, it left residue. Now, part of the problem I think is that since you can’t spray multiple times maybe some of the product starts to dry down before you can finish spraying the surface, so then by the time you get to wiping, it’s smearing around or drying down weird in certain sections. I have tried this product multiple times and the packaging itself makes it hard to use. Now, because I didn’t want to waste the product, I decided I’d dump the liquid in a different spray bottle: that made things better but unfortunately it still streaked my mirrors, it didn’t clean other glass properly, and honestly, since the product doesn’t work and the packaging is poorly designed, I think it’s a huge hassle. For the same money, and in most instances less, you can get a glass cleaner that actually works and doesn’t drive you insane. For all these reasons, this glass cleaner is a pass for me.

Let’s end on a positive note. Here’s a few positives: the scent is nice and light, the cleaner is vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, sulfate free, gluten free, and greywater friendly.
