The Green Beaver Toothpaste

The Green Beaver Sensitive Teeth Natural Toothpaste Review

Price:$ 7.49 CAD

Product Claims/Notes:

“Because sometimes your sensitive teeth need some TLC too! We formulated a special and gentle natural toothpaste to keep your breath fresh, while helping reduce painful sensitivity to cold, heat, acids, sweets, or contact. Made from 100% natural ingredients, this fluoride free toothpaste shields dental nerves for lasting sensitivity relief when used regularly. Get ready to brush away those sensitive teeth!” A Few Standards:

What do I want out of my toothpaste? First, and most importantly, my toothpaste has to be vegan, cruelty-free, natural, as chemical free as possible, and huge bonus points if the company makes efforts towards the recycling of the item, if it’s ethically made, if it’s organic, and if the packaging is well thought of. I prefer a tube, though I will try any type of packaging and any kind of formulation. The toothpaste must clean my teeth and give me fresh breath. I avoid scent-free toothpaste as I prefer some sort of scent—mint, tea tree oil, doesn’t matter. I want my mouth and teeth to be left clean and smelling fresh; I don’t want my toothpaste leaving a funky aftertaste.

DISCLAIMER: If you like this product, that’s great. For my wants/needs it just didn’t work out (detailed below). This in no way means I won’t buy anything else from the brand or that the brand itself is bad. If I dislike a product because it didn’t work for me, please don’t take that to mean I’m attacking the brand. I also encourage you to make your own judgements as to whether or not you will try this out. I am simply just sharing my experience with this particular product—again, no shade or hate for the brand. For me, this product is a pass, but I look forward to trying out other products from this brand. Let’s get into the review.

Cons

  • Didn’t work out for me and I would not re-purchase this.

Another one bites the dust. I purchased the Green Beaver Sensitive Teeth Natural Toothpaste with high hopes and unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me. This review will actually start off with the pros. This tube is huge, which means it’s a bang for your buck and will last you quite a long time. It’s very convenient to use, you just squeeze it out and off you go. There’s not much of a scent, it’s vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, GMO free, fluoride free, biodegradable, free from nuts, and has great claims by the company. If you’d like to try this out, please feel free!

Now, the cons, which are really rather simple. I brush my teeth, floss, use a tongue scraper and use mouth wash. This toothpaste didn’t improve my teeth or gum health, and as a person who does have sensitive teeth, I also saw no improvement in that area as well, which sucks because again, the claims and ingredients are so good! My breath wasn’t left fresh, there’s a funky taste both during and after brushing, and the consistency of the toothpaste is really thick. One wrong move with your brush and a glop of it will get stuck on your sink (huge pain to remove, FYI). At the end of the day, I need my teeth to look and feel good, while my breath is left feeling fresh, and since this toothpaste didn’t achieve that, I won’t be rebuying this item.
