Product Claims/Notes:
“BAMBOO AND NATURAL BRISTLE. Designed to reach even those hard-to-get-to-spots, our densely packed natural bristle brush can be used to exfoliate before the shower, or to clean and massage in the bath or shower.”
A Few Standards:
What do I want out of my body brush? Personally, I have done a lot of research and learned that sisal bristles are the best for dry brushing (which is what I’d use the brush for), but I thought I’d give this a go anyways. My body brush must always be vegan, cruelty free and made with natural fibres. I refuse to use synthetic fibres as they are too harsh on the skin and I would never want the handle to be leather or with any animal hair. The bristles also have to be stiff so I can get a good exfoliation. Aside that, I don’t have a preference when it comes to size or colour, so as long as it gets the job done well, I am good.
Review:
*This product is vegan and cruelty free.*
I’m going to keep this review short and sweet since the product itself is pretty simple. I like the packaging—there’s bamboo, natural bristles and a long handle so I can brush my back. Personally, I thought the bristles were a bit rough for me, so instead of using this for dry brushing (which is what I initially intended), I ended up putting it in my shower to use whilst wet. I find that when I put a body wash on and when I brush under water, the pain, so to speak, is more tolerable. This product has lasted me pretty well and it doesn’t shed too much (there is slight shedding). All in all, it’s convenient to use, and I wouldn’t recommend dry brushing with this (unless you can handle its roughness), so I’m going to stick to using it in the shower.
